Double checking. You've never:

- made a dish at home because you ate it at your friend's house and want to try it again

- been recommended for a job by someone who already works there, or done this for someone else

- used Consumer Reports, Money Saving Expert, TripAdvisor or any other recommendation site

- gone to sit somewhere in the stadium because you heard the view was best there

- been asked by anyone, ever, if you know anyone who does X (like gardening) or a product that could help with Y (like face cream)

One of my favourite Renaissance poets, John Donne. famously said "no man is an island' which I hold to be true. It sounds like you might prefer to be an island! In which case I suspect this piece - on technology products - might not be for you.
